Your Contribution
I’ve been seeing different iterations of this quote a lot lately:
“Your greatest contribution may not be something you do but someone you raise.”
I have some thoughts about this. ⠀
⠀
I’m probably overthinking the semantics, but “raising” someone is a verb. It is something you do. We don’t just magically raise amazing, kind, compassionate, generous humans. We lead by example, educate them, love them, open their eyes and their hearts to the world and it’s people. To raise, you must do. They are one in the same. ⠀
⠀
We cannot expect to raise wonderful humans if we are not actively working on becoming wonderful humans ourselves.⠀
