This is not okay. What happened to George Floyd and the too many others before him is not okay. The systemic white supremacy in this country is not okay. We are being called and we have to do better. We have to show up for this work.
I am not proud to admit that I have not been showing up enough. I will do better because I cannot expect others to do work I am not doing myself. I know I will not be perfect but I also know that these efforts will be better than no efforts at all. I sincerely hope you will call me out when I misstep. I am here to listen and learn and SHOW UP to use my privilege.
